Account password reset

This page sets (or resets) the password for your SensorThings operator account. You do not need this password to send us data; that uses your API key, which keeps working regardless. A password is only needed for occasional account administration, and many operators will never use one. Already have a reset code from an email? Skip straight to step 2.

1. Request a reset code

We'll email a code to your account's email address, which is the contact address from your application, unless you've changed it: get in touch if you have.

If that address has an account, a reset code is on its way. The email says to enter the code “in the app”: this page is the app; enter it in step 2 below.

2. Set a new password

Your password is now set. Store it somewhere safe, such as a password manager. Nothing else changes: your API key still works for sending data, and the key you saved at onboarding is untouched. If you're unsure what the password is for, you don't need it yet; we'll point you here if that changes.
